Tips for Decorating Your Travel Trailer
As the proud owner of a travel trailer, you’re probably excited to start going on camping adventures. However, if you’ve experienced a bit of disappointment at seeing the drab colour schemes of your camper, you might wish it felt a little more like home. After all, your travel trailer is designed to be your comfortable home away from home, and if it doesn’t reflect you, you may never feel truly relaxed in it.
Fortunately, you can leave the drab interiors far behind when you customize your camper specifically to your liking. We have provided some tips to help you decorate your travel trailer. Read on to learn more!
Add Colour
The browns, greys, and beiges of the woods and plastics used to build your travel trailer probably won’t spark a lot of joy in your heart. You can easily spice things up by adding some colour to your camper. Select shades that appeal to you and paint every wall or paint one bright accent wall in a trendy colour, like turquoise or coral. Go with warm colours, pastels, or whatever you desire as a colour scheme.
Cultivate Indoor Plants
Like any home, a travel trailer can get stuffy after a while, so infusing some freshness is necessary. Indoor plants are an excellent way to clean the air and give you a sense of home, particularly if you’re an avid gardener. A window box of flowers or herbs for cooking can be a nice addition, or hangers mounted on the wall that contain small succulents.
Soften with Fabrics
The drab curtains and basic-issue furniture in your travel trailer are probably easy to clean but don’t inspire coziness. A few comfortable fleece throw pillows or a hand-sewn quilt can warm up a living space and make it instantly more inviting. Throw pillows in colours that match or contrast well with your overall theme are another great addition.
Put Up Photographs
You can quickly become homesick while travelling in your camper, so having some reminders of the home is a good idea. Frame photographs of family, friends, and pets to put up around your travel trailer. You could also tack up some postcards of places you’ve gone. You can always print out and frame photos of those same places to create a collage of your trips in your camper.
